Description

Online Facilitated by LSBDC at University of Louisiana Monroe: Main Office The workshop topic will be How to Champion Diversity in the Workplace. In it, we'll discuss: *the current state of diversity; *benefits of diversity and how it affects profit; *ways to jumpstart/implement change within a company through actionable/results-oriented steps. About the Speaker, Kandice Guice: Kandice Guice is a business attorney with nearly a decade of experience handling commercial transactions for large law firms and Fortune 100 companies. On average, she negotiates more than $40 million in deals per year spanning the gamut of software and technology to professional services agreements. In the wake of the pandemic and social unrest within the world, Kandice noticed a need for entrepreneurs to develop a better contractual framework for their businesses. She now leverages her vast knowledge of complex contracts and negotiations to help businesses and creatives protect brand equity by understanding the contractual terms best suited for their business needs. As a community leader and activist, Kandice believes one powerful way to effectuate change is by emboldening diversity in the business world and offering necessary business resources to diverse populations. She works to be a part of this change by providing service offerings and educational content. Fee: No Cost Register: https://www2.lsbdc.org
